ORANGE UPDATE
The Orange lost to #16 Pitt, 3-2, last Friday, in their second double overtime loss in the last five outings. After the Panthers scored in the first five minutes, Orange junior midfielder Noah Singelmann answered in the 29th minute heading the ball past the goalie. The final five minutes of the game were dramatic with Pittsburgh's Arturo Ordonez heading the ball off of a corner kick into the top right corner of the Syracuse goal to give the Panthers a 2-1 lead. Syracuse responded to tie the game a second time when senior forward Manel Busquets scored on a penalty kick in the final minute of the game to force overtime. The Panthers scored the game winning goal in the last minute of the second overtime.
