Syracuse runners won both the men's and women's races at the John Reif Memorial on Friday to cap a successful regular season for the ranked Syracuse cross country squads.

The No. 15 women were led by Kensey May and Reilly Zink, who took the top two spots in the 5k race in 17:34.3 and 17:42.3, respectively. Teammates Shanley Koekemoer (17:55.0) and Emily Nugent (18:09.5) were fourth and fifth. Carolina Kirby and Bethany Steiner raced unattached in the meet, but took sixth and seventh, while Olivia Shattuck (19:11.6) was the fifth Orange finisher in 10th place.

Kevin Robertson came away with the win for the Orange men, finishing the 5k course in 14:55.6. Teun ter Haar, Julian Franjieh, Alex Herbst, Ruben Rojas Betanzos and Eamon Burke were second through sixth, but raced unattached.

Dominic Hockenbury was the second Orange finisher in seventh place after crossing the line in 15:21.2. Patrick Malone (15:37.9) and Matthew Dragon (15:47.9) were 10th and 12th, respectively.
