A home-and-home series against RPI starts Friday, Oct. 13 at RPI (6 pm) and concludes on Saturday, Oct. 14 at Tennity Ice Pavilion in Syracuse (4 pm). On Saturday, Syracuse will host a 'Skate with the Orange' following the game for all fans. Skating is free! Skate rentals are available for the public and free for SU students.

Syracuse holds a 6-3-1 advantage in the series that started in 2009. The last time the teams met in 2019-20, each team won on its home ice.

What to Know About the Orange:

For the second time in as many weeks, Orange goaltender Allie Kelley earned the College Hockey America Goaltender of the Week award. The graduate student posted 84 saves in the two-game series against Merrimack, including 56 in a 2-1 overtime loss to the Warriors. The 56 save performance is one shy of the Syracuse single-game record (57, Kallie Billadeau, 11/30/2010) and is the best single-game performance in the CHA this season. She leads the CHA in goals against average (1.51), saves per game (27.67) and save percentage (.954). Kelley, who ranks 11th nationally in goals against average, has 111 saves in four games for the Orange. She also earned the award after her performance in the first series of the season at Post.
Syracuse is tied for 11th nationally in scoring defense, allowing 2.0 goals per game. The Orange are tied for 15th nationally in power play percentage (.200) and tied for 21st nationally in penalty kill percentage (.778)
Freshman Nea Tervonen ranks 13th nationally and seventh in College Hockey America with 50 faceoff wins in her first four games. The Tampere, Finland native is the only first-year skater on the CHA's top 10 list and is one of two in the top 13 nationally. All other players on the CHA list have played six games.
Forwards Kate Holmes and Darci Johal are Syracuse's leading playmakers. Holmes has a team-high three assists, including two in Syracuse's 3-2 victory at Post. She also assisted on Sarah Thompson's power play goal against Merrimack (10/6). Johal tallied one assist at Post and contributed to Syracuse's power play goal against Merrimack (10/6) with Thompson and Holmes.
