
'Cuse XC Set for NCAA Championships

The Syracuse cross country teams will race at the NCAA Championships in Charlottesville, Virginia this Saturday. The Orange men earned an at-large bid to the event and the women qualified automatically by winning the NCAA Northeast Regional meet last week.

GOING STREAKING:
The Syracuse men qualified for their 15th-straight NCAA Championship, which is the nation's fourth-longest active streak (trailing just Stanford, BYU and Colorado).
The women's team is entering its third-straight NCAA Championship, which is tied for the second-longest streak in program history. The Orange qualified for four-straight NCAA Championships from 2008-11 and three straight from 2013-15.

The 'Cuse women are first in action at 10:20 a.m. The Orange will have its participants come from an entered field of: Baneet Bains, Emma Eastman, Sophia Jacobs-Townsley, Olivia Joly, Caroline Kirby, Rylie Lusk, Madison Neuner, Siobhan O'Keefe, and Savannah Roark.
The men will run 50 minutes later, and pull its field from: Alex Comerford, Silas Derfel, Joey Eovaldi, Assaf Harari, Nathan Lawler, Sam Lawler, Perry Mackinnon, Paul O'Donnell, Matthew Scrape, Ethan Wechsler.
LAST TIME OUT:
The Orange women won the NCAA Northeast Regional for the first time since 2011 to secure an automatic spot to Saturday's championship. They were led by Savannah Roark, who took sixth. She was one-of-four women to earn All-Region accolades.
The men finished third in the Bronx last weekend, led by Perry Mackinnon who placed fourth in the race. The men also placed four runners in the top 22 to earn USTFCCCA All-Region designation.
