PITTSBURGH – No. 2 Syracuse travels for the first time this season to take on Pittsburgh in the first ACC matchup of the season for both teams. The Orange (3-0) have an all-time record of 7-2 in ACC openers.

WHO TO WATCH
Graduate student Meaghan Tyrrell leads the nation in assists (16) and assists per game (5.33). She dished out a career-best six assists in the season opener. The Orange also lead the nation in assists per game, averaging 11.33 per contest.
Senior Kate Mashewske is nearing a career milestone. She needs one draw control to become the second player in program history to record 300 draw controls in her career.

Graduate student Megan Carney has scored four goals in each of the first three games. She now has 145 career goals, which place her ninth on Syracuse's all-time goals scored list.
Tyrrell and senior Delaney Sweitzer were honored for their performances in Syracuse's win against Maryland. Tyrrell is this week's IWLCA Co-Offensive Player of the Week as well as the ACC Offensive Player of the Week, while Sweitzer is the ACC Defensive Player of the Week.

SCOUTING THE PANTHERS
In their second season, the Panthers have started with a 2-1 record, losing to Binghamton, and taking down both Duquesne and Siena. This will be Pittsburgh's first game this season against a ranked opponent, as well as its first home game.

Senior attacker Camdyn O'Donnell leads the Panthers this season in goals with eight through three games. Graduate student Hannah Van Middelem, who played at Syracuse the past four seasons, has started every game in goal for Pittsburgh. She has an 11.05 GAA and is averaging 10 saves per game.

THE SERIES
This will be the second ever meeting between the Orange and the Panthers. Syracuse took down Pitt last April, winning 18-6 in the JMA Wireless Dome. Saturday's game marks the first time Syracuse will play at Highmark Stadium in Pittsburgh.
