
Teslak Earns All-CHA First Team Honors

Orange defenseman Rachel Teslak is a 2023-24 All-College Hockey America First Team defenseman. The Cranbrook, British Columbia native earned the honor after tallying 22 points, including eight goals and 14 assists, in 30 games. Teslak was Syracuse's second leading scorer and ranked third in scoring among defensemen in the CHA. She had four special teams goals, including three power play and one shorthanded, five multi-point games. Teslak is the 12th Syracuse skater to earn All-CHA First Team honors. It is the 17th time a Syracuse player has been named first team.

Teslak was a three-time CHA Defenseman of the Week, including after her performances against Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RP), Boston University and Lindenwood. Against RPI she scored a goal, took six shots and had two blocks in the series. Her second league honor came after her performance at #9 Cornell and in a two-game series at Boston University. Teslak scored two goals in Syracuse's 4-4 overtime tie on October 20th. In the three games, she had five shots and one block. She also earned the award after leading the league in offense in a two-game series at Lindenwood. Teslak had seven points, including career-high of three points, including two goals, on Friday, and a goal and an assist on Saturday.

Teslak, who joined the Orange prior to the 2023-24 season after playing four years at St. Lawrence, tallied 57 career points, including 20 goals and 37 assists in 138 games.
