Twins Shea Vanderbosch and Kam Vanderbosch square off when Syracuse (1-0-1) hosts Siena (1-1-0) meet on Thursday, August 22, at the SU Soccer Stadium.
It will be the third straight year the sisters have played against each other in college.
The Syracuse-Siena Series:
The Orange have won all three matches against Siena. Syracuse won the first encounter, on August 29, 2019, 3-0. The most recent pairing was last year, when the Orange emerged with a 3-0 triumph.
Syracuse Status:
Syracuse opened the season with a 2-0 victory against UMass and a 1-1 draw versus Maine.
Junior Ava Uribe leads the team in scoring with one goal and one assist. Freshman Iba Oching and junior Ashley Rauch have Syracuse's other goals this season.
Shea Vanderbosch played complete games in the first two matches. She owns a 0.50 goals-against average and a .875 save percentage.
Siena Status:
Siena has recorded a 3-0 loss at Lafayette and a 1-0 victory against Bryant. Coach Steve Karbowski is in his 26th season at Siena.
Freshman midfielder Catherine Rogers has Siena's lone goal in 2024. Sophomore Megan Stowell assisted on the tally versus Bryant.
Freshman Cate Burns started in the 1-0 triumph against Bryant. Junior Maddie Finn played all 90 minutes at Lafayette.
Throwback Thursday:
The Syracuse marketing team wil be giving out fanny packs at the table inside the entrance of the SU Soccer Stadiums while supplies last.Â
