Kelley Named AHA Goaltender of the Week

SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Syracuse University women's ice hockey netminder Allie Kelley was named AHA Goaltender of the Week after a weekend and season sweep of Robert Morris. Atlantic Hockey America (AHA) announced its weekly award winners Monday afternoon.
Kelley, the NCAA Women's Ice Hockey all-time career saves leader, added another AHA Goaltender of The Week to her resume, as she took home the honor for the second straight week.
Syracuse (12-20-0, 10-8-0 AHA) traveled to Moon Township, Pennsylvania, to take on Robert Morris where the Orange swept the weekend. On Friday, Syracuse beat the Colonials 4-1 and on Saturday added another victory with a 5-1 win.
Allie Kelley only allowed two goals, assisting the Orange in a 2-0-0 weekend. The New Berne, New York, native finished the weekend with 35 saves and a weekend save percentage of 94.6. Kelley had 11 saves in two separate periods over the weekend.
The Orange head back to Pennsylvania to take on the Mercyhurst Lakers. Puck drop on Friday is set for 6 p.m. and 1 p.m. on Saturday in Erie, Pennsylvania. This weekend wraps up the regular season for Syracuse.
