Syracuse women's basketball (10-13, 4-8 ACC) travels to the Golden State this Thursday night to take on Stanford (11-12, 3-9 ACC) inside Maples Pavilion in Stanford, CA. Tip-off from the west coast is slated for 7 p.m. PT (10 p.m. ET), with live coverage on ACC Network.
The Orange kick off their two-game cross-country road trip on the heels of a two-game win streak this past week. SU earned a 62-50 victory last Sunday over Wake Forest, thanks to a 21-point performance by Georgia Woolley and a 15-point, 10-rebound double-double from Sophie Burrows. Last Thursday, 'Cuse outlasted Virginia Tech, 93-87, on the road due in part to a career-high 28 points from Burrows. The sophomore from Victoria, Australia is averaging a team-best 16.4 points over the last seven contests.
Stanford hosts the game after a two-game road trip and on the back of a three-game losing streak. The Cardinal fell to two ranked opponents during that stretch, losing a nail-biter to No. 15 North Carolina, 69-67, at home before traveling to No. 3 Notre Dame, for a 96-47 loss. Stanford's most recent game came last Sunday, a 74-65 loss to Louisville on the road. The Cardinal's leading scorer, Nunu Agara, is averaging 16.6 points per game this season on 46% shooting from the field.
Syracuse and Stanford have met once before in program history, matching up in November of 2019 during the Greater Victorian Invitational in Canada. Then No.18 Syracuse fell to No. 3 Stanford, 77-59, in game two of the tournament.
Fans can watch the action live on ACC Network or follow live stats on cuse.com.
