SYRACUSE, New York --Â No. 9/8 Syracuse goes for its third-straight win when it hosts No. 20/21 Notre Dame in the JMA Wireless Dome on Sunday, March 23 at noon.

ORANGE UPDATE
Syracuse is coming off a pair of road wins that have improved its record to 6-4 overall, 2-2 in the ACC. The Orange are ranked No. 8 in the first NCAA RPI released on Thursday. 'Cuse has already faced three of the top four and will take on the remaining top five teams this season. Syracuse has wins this season against No. 3 Stanford, No. 12 Maryland and No. 14 Loyola.

Junior Emma Muchnick is having a breakout season. The junior scored a career-high five goals in the win at Loyola, giving her a team-best 22 this season. That total is also a career high. Muchnick has scored multiple goals in eight of 10 games in 2025.

Notre Dame enters Sunday's game on a three-game winning streak. The Fighting Irish are 6-4 overall, 1-3 in ACC play.

Madison Rassas is Notre Dame's leader in points (32) and goals (28) this season. She is also tied for the team lead in draw controls with 29.

Goalkeeper Isabel Pithie has an 8.43 goals-against average and a .513 save percentage. She is part of defense that is allowing 8.90 goals per game, which ranks 12th in the nation.

SERIES HISTORY
Sunday's game marks the 32nd all-time meeting between Syracuse and Notre Dame. The Orange lead the series with the Fighting Irish, 23-8. The squads have played at least once every year since 1998.

Last year's meeting took place in South Bend. Notre Dame led by one, 6-5, after the first quarter and extended its lead to 10-6 at halftime.

The Orange fought back after intermission. With the Fighting Irish leading, 11-8, Natalie Smith scored the first of four-straight goals for Syracuse as it took a 12-11 lead.

Jackie Wolak tied the score to start the fourth quarter, but Syracuse responded with a 3-0 scoring run and recorded a 16-14 victory.
