BLACKSBURG, Virginia -- No. 7/11 Syracuse goes on the road for the final time during the regular season to face Virginia Tech on Saturday, April 12 in Blacksburg. Opening draw is set for 12 p.m.

ORANGE UPDATE
Syracuse enters Saturday's game with an 9-5 overall record. The Orange are in a three-way tie for third place in the ACC standings with a 5-2 league record. Emma Ward moved into second place on Syracuse's all-time assists list with her performance in the victory against Cal this past Saturday. She enters Saturday's game with 161 career assists, three behind Katie Rowan's 164 from 2006-09.

The RPI released by the NCAA on April 9 has Syracuse at No. 9. The Orange will have faced seven of the top 10 by the end of the regular season. Syracuse has wins against No. 7 Stanford, No. 8 Virginia, No. 13 Loyola and No. 14 Maryland.

Virginia Tech snapped a five-game losing streak with a 12-11 victory against Coastal Carolina on Wednesday. The Hokies enter Saturday's game with an 8-7 overall record, including a 2-5 mark against ACC competition.

Lauren Render and Mia Pozzi lead the Virginia Tech offense. Render has scored a team-best 40 goals, while Pozzi leads the squad in points (46) and assists (14). Her 32 goals rank second on the squad.

Goalkeeper Aaliyah Jones leads the ACC in saves per game (10.15) and is second in saves with 132. She has a .460 save percentage and a 12.32 goals-against average.

SERIES HISTORY
Syracuse and Virginia Tech will meet for the 18th time when they take the field on Saturday. The Orange lead the all-time series, 16-1 and have a 5-1 advantage in Blacksburg.
'Cuse is making the trip to Blacksburg for the second-straight year. In last year's meeting, the Orange scored the first seven goals of the game and never looked back in a 15-5 victory.

Maddy Baxter scored twice in the first quarter as Syracuse led, 6-0, after the first 15 minutes. The Orange built a 9-2 halftime lead and continued to extend their advantage in the second half.

Emma Ward was one of three Syracuse players to have a hat trick in the win. She also dished out three assists for a game-high six points.
