No. 12 Syracuse (1-3, 0-2 ACC) hits the road Saturday for an ACC showdown with the Louisville Cardinals (2-3, 0-2 ACC).

Opening Draw
The Orange head to Louisville at 1-3 and having played four straight ranked opponents to start the season. Syracuse opened the year taking on the top three teams in this week's IWLCA poll: No. 1 North Carolina, No. 2 Stanford and No. 3 Maryland.

Recent Results
The Orange are coming off the heels of a 15-7 victory over No. 13 Loyola, the first win of the Regy Thorpe era. Molly Guzik and Joely Caramelli both notched hat tricks while Ashlee Volpe posted a career-high four assists.

The Syracuse defense posted a strong performance, holding the Greyhounds to a season-low seven goals while allowing just 13 shots. Izzy Lahah caused three turnovers and nabbed three ground balls in the victory.

Guzik's Hot Start
Guzik has had a strong start to her sophomore campaign, boasting a team-high 10 points and eight goals. Her hat trick against Loyola was the first of her career and marked her third-consecutive game with multiple goals.

The sophomore has held it down in the circle too, racking up 18 draw controls, including a career-high seven against Loyola.

The Back Line
Syracuse's defense has held opponents to under 10 goals per game on average, with top-ranked North Carolina being the only team to top that mark in a single game. Daniella Guyette has been between the pipes for the Orange, recording a .471 save percentage.

The defense has been supplemented by strong play from several players, including Lahah. Lahah leads the team with eight caused turnovers and eight ground balls. Mackenzie Salentre has been stout as well, compiling five caused turnovers and five ground balls.

Scouting Louisville
The Cardinals are coming off of a 20-13 victory over Canisius, their highest offensive output yet this year. Five different players scored at least three goals, with Erin Nicholson leading the way with four. Charlotte Jackson logged a hat trick while assisting on four goals to lead the team with seven points.

Reese Whiteman is the leading goal scorer for the Cardinals, logging 13 this season. Haley Richards is between the pipes for Louisville, having racked up 58 saves with a .479 save percentage this season.

The Cardinals are yet to pick up an ACC win this year, having lost to Virginia Tech and North Carolina.

Series History
Saturday's meeting will be the 16^th in the all-time series between Syracuse and Louisville. The Orange lead the all-time series, 14-1, and have won eight straight over the Cardinals.
