2002-03: Competed in the 200, 500 and 1,650 freestyle at the BIG EAST Championship...posted his top time of 1:44.84 in the 200 freestyle at the Nike Cup...posted his fastest time in the 500 freestyle at the Nike Cup (4:41.06)...captured his first collegiate first-place finish in the 500 freestyle in a dual meet against Colgate...member of the fall and spring Athletic Director’s Honor Rolls...a BIG EAST Academic All-Star.
High School: Swam all four years at Solon High School...coached by Rob Northrup...served as team captain his senior year...captured conference championships in the 200 and 500 freestyles...earned first-team all-conference honors in the 200 freestyle from 1999-2002...voted team MVP in 2000 and 2001...a two-time recipient of his school’s scholar-athlete award...recognized by the Cleveland Plain Dealer as an athlete of the week.
