
SU Hosts UVa in Battle of Top Five Teams

SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- Two top five teams collide on Friday when the No. 3 Syracuse women's lacrosse team hosts No. 4 Virginia at 4 p.m. in the Carrier Dome. Both teams enter the contest undefeated, as the Orange is 3-0 this season, while the Cavaliers are 2-0.
The game is part of a doubleheader with the Orange men's lacrosse team, which also takes on the Cavaliers at 7 p.m. Tickets for Friday's game are $5 for adults and $2 for youth ages 12 and under through halftime of the women's game when the cost increases to the price for a men's game ($10 for adults, $5 for youth 12 and under). Members of the 'Cuse Kids Club receive free admission.

SERIES HISTORY
The meeting between Syracuse and Virginia is the 11th time the two schools have faced each other. The Cavaliers holds the advantage in the series, 7-3.
ROWAN REACHES MILESTONE
Senior Katie Rowan reached another milestone in Syracuse's win against California. Rowan had five goals and three assists against the Golden Bears, giving her 300 points in her career. She is the first Syracuse player to reach the 300-point plateau and just the 21st player in NCAA history. Rowan is the NCAA Division I active career leader in points and goals scored (190).
A LOOK AT TODAY'S GAME
Syracuse and Virginia have 10 times in women's lacrosse. The Cavaliers lead the all-time series, 7-3 ... Today's game is the second for the Orange against a ranked opponent this season. In 2008, Syracuse was 7-3 against teams ranked in the top 20 ... The Orange's next win in the Carrier Dome will be Syracuse's 75th victory in the Loud House.
