Orange and Friars To Tipoff in BIG EAST Tournament Today

HARTFORD, Conn. – The ninth-seeded Orange will play eighth-seeded Providence in the second round of the 2010 BIG EAST Championship on Saturday. It is the second meeting this season between Syracuse and Providence. The Friars defeated the Orange, 71-69, on January 19 in Providence.
Syracuse beat Seton Hall, 65-43, to advance in the tournament. Junior Erica Morrow scored 18 points to lead the Orange in the come-from-behind victory against the Pirates.
Syracuse (21-9) earned its first BIG EAST Tournament win since 2005 and the first for third-year Syracuse head coach Quentin Hillsman.
