SYRACUSE, N.Y. - The -/rv Syracuse University women's basketball team (17-7, 5-6) completes a three-game homestand when SU hosts -/rv Louisville (16-9, 7-4) on Wednesday, February 16 at 7 p.m. in the Carrier Dome.
The Orange posted a decisive 70-49 victory versus Villanova in SU's last contest on Saturday. The Cardinals have won their last two games, including a 57-47 victory versus #17/19 West Virginia on Sunday.
Wednesday's game marks the ninth time that Syracuse and Louisville have played on the hardwood, with the Cardinals holding the edge in the series, 5-3. SU has won two of the last three meetings, including a 79-56 win in the Dome in 2008 and a 64-58 victory in Louisville last season.

Sophomore center Kayla Alexander netted 22 points to help lead Syracuse to a decisive 70-49 victory versus BIG EAST Conference foe Villanova on Saturday's “Think Pink Day” at the Carrier Dome.
With nine rebounds, Alexander was just one shy of a double-double afternoon. She also made use of costly Wildcat fouls, going 10-of-13 at the line. Junior guard Iasia Hemingway added to the offensive effort with 15 points, giving her a team-best 18 double-figure point games on the season.
The Orange took advantage of 21 Wildcat turnovers, scoring 20 points off of Villanova miscues. Sophomore guard Carmen Tyson-Thomas led the Orange on the boards with 10 rebounds.
Scouting Louisville
-/rv Louisville (16-9, 7-4 BIG EAST) has won its last two games, including a 57-47 victory versus #17/19 West Virginia on Sunday.
Louisville shoots 45.0 percent (673-1494) from the field and averages 73.4 points per game, the fourth-highest average in the BIG EAST. Behind Connecticut, Louisville holds the second-highest 3-point field goal percentage as a team (36.6), with the most 3-pointers made this season (187-507).
Junior Monique Reid leads the Cardinals in scoring with 15.8 points per game - the fourth-highest in the league, on 56.0 percent shooting (155-277).
Freshman Shoni Schimmel averages 15.6 points per game, while also leading the team in 3-pointers made with 71. Senior Keshia Hines leads UofL in rebounds with 6.2 boards.
