Orange Finish Among National Leaders

Freshman Kayla Treanor ranked second in the nation in goals and sixth in points in the final NCAA women's lacrosse statistics. Junior Alyssa Murray finished fourth in points as the Orange ended the year as the second-highest scoring offense in the country. In addition, sophomore Kelsey Richardson ranked seventh in goals-against average.
Treanor recorded 71 goals this season, which was second only to Stony Brook's Demmianne Cook's 90. She also ranked sixth in points (95), ninth in goals per game (4.73) and 16th in points per game (4.32). Murray tallied 104 points in 2013, which ranked fourth in the country. She also finished sixth in goals (64), ninth in points per game (4.73) and 12th in assists (40). In addition, Richardson ranked seventh in goals-against average (7.70).
In the team statistics, Syracuse ranked second in points (470) and scoring offense (15.09 gpg.) The Orange was fourth in scoring margin (6.55) and fifth in draw controls (14.45). SU finished the season with an 18-4 record and finished ninth in winning percentage (.818).
Syracuse concluded another successful season by advancing to the national semifinals for the second consecutive year and fourth time in the last six years. The Orange won both the BIG EAST regular-season and tournament titles.
