SYRACUSE, N.Y. – No. 4 Syracuse tries to advance to the national semifinals for the fifth consecutive year when it clashes with No. 5 USC in the NCAA Women's Lacrosse Tournament quarterfinals on Saturday, May 21. Opening draw in the Carrier Dome is set for 3 p.m. Tickets are $8 for adults and $5 for seniors, students with ID and youth. Parking is free in the Dome West Lots.

The Orange enter Saturday's game with an 18-5 record, while the Trojans are tied for the longest winning streak in the country with a 20-0 record. Syracuse earned the No. 4 seed in the tournament, while USC is the fifth seed.

Saturday's game will be broadcast on ESPN3. Fans can listen to the live broadcast on ESPN Radio 1200AM and WJPZ 89.1FM in Syracuse. Live audio will also be available on Cuse TV on Cuse.com.

ORANGE IN THE NCAA QUARTERFINALS
Syracuse is making its fifth consecutive appearance in the NCAA Tournament quarterfinals and ninth in the past 10 years. The Orange have an all-time record of 16-13 in NCAA Tournament play and a 6-2 mark in the quarterfinal round. Syracuse has advanced to the national semifinals in each of the last four years.

HOW THEY GOT HERE
Both Syracuse and USC earned first-round byes in the NCAA Tournament. The Orange defeated No. 7 Stony Brook, 7-6, in the second round at Boston College, while USC advanced with a 14-8 win against No. 9 Stanford.

SCOUTING THE TROJANS
USC is one of two unbeaten teams in Division I lacrosse. The Trojans are the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Tournament champions and earned the league's automatic bid to the national tournament.

Michaela Michael leads USC and ranks second in the nation in scoring with 97 points on 66 goals and 31 assists. Overall, three players have scored 40 or more goals for the Trojans this season. USC's defense is one of the stingiest in the nation. The Trojans rank first in the latest NCAA statistics in scoring defense, allowing just 5.5 goals per game. Gussie Johns' 5.71 goals-against average is the lowest in the country.

Syracuse and USC will meet for the first time on Saturday.
