
Jones Guides Team to Title in Finland

Jones helped Catz Lappeenrata to its fifth straight title
SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Former Syracuse University women's basketball player Chandrea Jones completed the 2015-16 season in the Naisten Korisliiga, Finland's top professional league, with Catz Lappeenrata. Jones helped her team sweep Hyvinkaan Ponteva in a best-of-five series to win the league championship.
Catz Lappeenrata finished the regular season with a 22-2 overall record, then won six consecutive games in the postseason en route to its fifth straight league title. Jones averaged 17.7 points, 6.1 rebounds, 3.1 assists, 2.0 steals per contest, and 1.0 blocked shot per contest.
The Baltimore native led her team and ranked fifth in the Naisten Korisliiga in scoring. Jones also ranked sixth in the league in blocks and eighth in assists.
Jones was a two-time BIG EAST honoree at Syracuse from 2008-09. She became the fastest player in program history to eclipse the 1,000-point mark, doing so in 63 games. Jones also holds the school record with a career scoring average of 16.0 points per contest.
