Levy Tabbed ECAC Rookie of the Year

DANBURY, Conn.-Â After a spectacular rookie season for the Syracuse women's lacrosse team, freshman Nicole Levy was named the ECAC Division I Women's Lacrosse Rookie of the Year.
The East Islip, N.Y. native finished tied for third on the team with 68 points, which also ranked among the top 32 players in the nation. Levy's 68 points was second among freshmen nationally and first in the Atlantic Coast Conference.
Earlier this year, Levy became the first member of the Orange to earn ACC Freshman of the Year accolades. She recorded at least one point in 23-of-24 games this season. Levy notched a season and career high of five goals in the ACC quarterfinal victory against Boston College. She also recorded five points at Harvard and in a critical ACC matchup with Notre Dame. As a freshman, Levy ranked third on the team in goals with 46 and third in assists (22).Â
Most recently, Levy led the Orange in the national semifinals with four points on two goals and two assists in her first appearance in the Final Four.
