
Orange Complete Non-Conference Schedule

Will play in the 2016 Florida Sunshine Classic
SYRACUSE, N.Y. – The Syracuse University women's basketball will compete in the 2016 Florida Sunshine Classic and take on Stony Brook and Drexel on the road to complete its 2016-17 non-conference schedule.
For the second time in three years, the Orange will participate in the Florida Sunshine Classic on the campus of Rollins College in Winter Park, Fla. Syracuse will open the tournament with Old Dominion on Tuesday, Dec. 20 at 3:15 p.m. In their second contest, the Orange will take on Texas A&M on Wednesday, Dec. 21 at 3:15 p.m.
Old Dominion leads the all-time series against Syracuse, 7-4, while the Orange hold a 1-0 all-time advantage against Texas A&M. The last time SU and ODU met, Syracuse scored a 65-32 victory in the Cancun Thanksgiving Classic on Nov. 26, 2009. In their only meeting, the Orange defeated the Aggies, 78-63, in the Paradise Jam on Nov. 30, 2013.
Syracuse will travel to in-state foe Stony Brook on Friday, Nov. 18 for its first road contest of the 2016-17 season. The Orange and Seawolves met for the first time during the 2015-16 season. SU outscored its opposition by 22 points in the final 30 minutes of play en route to a 64-49 win on Dec. 6, 2015.
In its second road game of the year, Syracuse will head to Philadelphia, Pa. for a contest at Drexel on Monday, Nov. 21. The Orange own a 2-0 overall record against the Dragons, tallying an 83-62 victory in their last matchup on Dec. 29, 2015.
