SYRACUSE, N.Y. – After going up 1-0 in the first period, the Syracuse women's hockey team fell behind with goals in the second and third periods by Bemidji State.

The Orange got on the board first behind a Jessica Sibley goal 12 minutes into the first period on the power play. Larissa Martyniuk and Savannah Rennie facilitated the play that ended with an Orange goal.

It was Sibley's 32nd career goal and 13th power play goal. Rennie made the assist in her first game lacing up for the Orange in her freshman season. Martyniuk registered her 33rd career assist.

Bemidji came back to tie up the game in the second period when Emily Bergland hit a shot off the bar into the net. In the third, the Beavers would go ahead on a goal from Reilly Fawcett.

Abbey Miller played all 60 minutes in net for the Orange. The junior made 19 saves, three shy of her career high.

Syracuse and Bemidji State will meet on the ice again on Saturday at 3 p.m. at Tennity Ice Pavilion.
