WISCONSIN SUCCESS
- The Syracuse men have won the invitational three times (2015, 2014 and 2009) and the women claimed the 2010 title.
- Syracuse is the only men's program to have won multiple team titles and the only program to have won both a men's and women's championship at the event. The Washington women have two titles and are the only other program – men or women – to have won multiple times at Wisconsin.
- 'Cuse has competed in every Wisconsin Invitational since its inception in 2009.
- Justyn Knight is the defending men's champion and is looking to join former Arizona standout Lawi Lalang as the only people to win multiple individual titles at the Wisconsin Invitational.
ABOUT THE MEET
- 20 of the top-30 men's teams in the USTFCCCA Coaches' Poll will be represented, while 16 of the top-30 women's teams will race as well.
- The course is the site of the 2018 NCAA Championship.
- The meet features an 8k men's race, a 6k women's race and a 5k 'B' race.
HE'S BACK
- Following extended recovery from a long track season that extended to the IAAF World Championships in August, senior phenom Justyn Knight will make his season debut on Friday.
- Knight – who was the runner up at the 2016 NCAA Championship and won every other time he raced, has not lost a regular season meet since the 2015 Nuttycombe Wisconsin Invitational, where he finished second behind Tulsa's Marc Scott.
- Knight is coming off a track campaign that saw him take ninth at the IAAF World Championships in London, competing for Canada.
RANKING THE ORANGE
- The Syracuse men check in at No. 3 in this week's USTFCCCA Poll.
- Northern Arizona and BYU are the lone teams ranked ahead of the Orange, respectively.
