XC Teams Begin 2018 slate on Saturday

The Syracuse cross country teams are set to start their 2018 seasons on Saturday with the Harry Lang Invitational at Colgate.

Ranking the Orange:
- The men's team was ranked 10th in the USTFCCCA preseason coaches poll. It's the sixth-straight season Syracuse will start the year in the top-10.
- Up four spots from their final ranking from last year, the Syracuse women's team was ranked 22nd.
- 'Cuse is the lone ACC program with both teams ranked in the top-25.

ACC Preseason Predictions:
- The Syracuse men's team claimed their fifth-straight title at the ACC Championship last season and is once again picked to repeat this season.
- The men's team has won each year since being part of the conference and the league's 15 coaches voted them No. 1 to start the season this week.
- The women's team was chosen to finish fifth in the ACC Preseason Coaches Poll.

Last Year at Harry Lang:
- Both the men and women's teams finished with titles.
- Kevin James won the men's individual title with Dominic Hockenbury, Joe Dragon and Simon Smith claiming the following three spots.
- Madeleine Davison took home second for the women, followed by Rachel Bonner, Olivia Easton and Maggie Tockzo finishing fourth through sixth.
- Davison has an individual title here as well, winning the race as a true freshman in 2016.
