Syracuse (10-4, 1-2 ACC) welcomes longtime rival Pittsburgh (7-7, 0-3 ACC) to the JMA Wireless Dome on Thursday night (ACC Network, 6 p.m.). The Orange hope to bounce back from a two-point loss to #6 NC State on Sunday night.Â
The Orange have won 22-straight games against the Panthers entering Thursday's game. The last time the two met, Syracuse earned a 67-65 win at the Petersen Events Center on Feb. 13, 2022 when Teisha Hyman hit a jumper for the lead in the final minute of play.Â
Syracuse's led by its backcourt tandem of Dyaisha Fair (18.7 ppg) and Teisha Hyman (13.7 ppg). Georgia Woolley is coming off her best game of the season in which she scored 23 points against No. 6 NC State last Sunday. Center Dariauna Lewis is averaging just shy of a double double with 9.9 points and 9.8 rebounds per game.Â
Pittsburgh is led by Liatu King who's averaging 11.0 points per game. King also leads the Panthers in rebounds with 8.6 per game while Amber Brown adds 5.2 rebounds per game. Thursday's game will be televised nationally on ACC Network with Jenn Hildreth and Debbie Antonelli on the call. Tip-off is set for 6 p.m.Â
