Syracuse will play a two-game series at Boston University in Walter Brown Arena on Friday, Oct. 20 (6 pm) and Saturday, Oct 21 (3 pm). It will be just the second and third meeting between the teams. In 2022, the teams played to a 3-3 OT tie with the outcome of the game decided in a shootout to determine which team would to the championship game of the Battle at the Burgh in Pittsburgh, Pa. Orange senior Shelby Calof scored a shoot-out goal to propel the Orange to the championship game. Calof put a shot past BU goalie Kate Stuart and then Orange goaltender Arielle DeSmet saved the final BU attempt in the shootout.
Â
The Orange come into the game following a weekend split with Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and a midweek 7-0 loss at #9 Cornell. Boston University lost both games of its season-opening series against #7 Northeastern.
