BULLDOGS BITE BACK
With Syracuse ahead 8-1 in the second quarter, Yale mounted a comeback. After Yale's Taylor Everson and Syracuse's Olivia Adamson traded goals, the Bulldogs closed out the opening half with back-to-back tallies from Karina Herrera off a free position and Everson again, this time following a steal. The two teams went into intermission with the Orange holding on to a 9-4 advantage.
ORANGE EXTEND ADVANTAGE
Tyrrell scored consecutive goals in the third quarter and Syracuse finished the period with a 13-7 lead. Yale made one last charge, cutting the lead to 13-8 at 11:26 of the final period when Herrera scored her 18th of the season on a free position.
