
Cross Country Opens Season Saturday

Syracuse cross country starts their season on Saturday at the Harry Lang Invitational, hosted by Colgate, an event that 'Cuse has opened its season with in 16 of the last 18 seasons.
The Orange men are the defending champions of the event.

ORANGE ENTRIES:
The SU women will be the first to race this season, kicking things off at 11 a.m. Baneet Bains, Sarah Cobb, Beatriz Fernandes, Grace Finnegan, Leah Futey, Jayden Harberts, Madeline Heintz, Justus Holden-Betts, Caroline Kirby, Sarah Lawson, Madeline Lutz, Olivia Shattuck, Bethany Steiner, Barbora Svoboda and Lucy Zombek are set to compete.
Forty-five minutes later, the men will get their season started. Eamon Burke, Julian Franjieh, Solomon Holden-Betts, Patrick Malone, Kamari Miller, Gabriel Planty and Ruben Rojas Betanzos will compete.
Ranking the Orange:
The Syracuse women open the year ranked No. 29 in the USTFCCCA Preseason Poll, while the SU men check in at No. 22.
The new-look ACC is heavily featured in both polls, with six men's teams and seven women's programs earning spots in the top-30 to open the year.
