
Orange Continues Home Stand Against Presbyterian College

SYRACUSE, N.Y. – The Syracuse women's basketball team will attempt to go 2-0 for the second consecutive season when it welcomes the Presbyterian College Blue Hose to the Carrier Dome on Monday, November 16 for a 7 p.m. tip. The game is the second of a four game home stand for the Orange and is the first meeting between the two schools.
The Orange faithful can listen to the voice of the women's basketball team, Brian Higgins, as he calls the action on SU's flagship station WTLA 1200/1400. Student radio, WJPZ 89.1 FM, will also be broadcasting the outing. The game is also available on live video on SUAthletics.com via Orange All Access, while live stats can also be viewed through the website.
Last Time Out
The Syracuse Orange defeated the Fairleigh Dickinson Knights, 65-45, in its home opener on Friday, November 13. The Knights and Orange battled for the lead in the first half, which featured seven ties and six lead changes, but Syracuse held FDU to 13 second-half points en route to its 20-point victory. Three Orange players scored in double figures in the win, including senior guard Nicole Michael, junior guard Erica Morrow, and freshman guard Tyler Ash. Michael led the way for SU with 11 points and five rebounds, while Morrow and Ash each added 10 points.
Scouting the Blue Hose
Presbyterian returns six letterwinners from last year's squad that went 4-25 and 1-5 (9th) in the Big South Conference. It returns junior guard Amanda Mills, who was last year's second-highest scorer (11.5) and junior forward Chelsea Wright, who led the team in total rebounds (6.0) last season. PC is led by head coach Ronny Fisher, who is in his second year of coaching.
