Orange and Cougars Meet in Hukilau Invite

LAIE, Hawaii -- NR/RV Syracuse looks to return its winning ways on Saturday, Dec. 3 when it takes on Brigham Young at the Hukilau Invitational in Laie, Hawaii. The Orange enters the contest with a 6-1 mark after its first setback of the season against Arizona in the first round of the tournament. The Cougars are 6-2 this season.

A CLOSER LOOK AT THE ORANGE
Syracuse had its six-game winning streak snapped in an 80-74 loss Arizona its first action in the Hukilau Invitational.
The Orange trailed by as many 12 points in the first half, but scored on its first four possessions of the second half and led 44-42 with 16:57 to play. Syracuse led the majority of the second half but couldn't pull away as the teams were tied five times in the final 16 minutes. With the score tied, 63-63, the Wildcats scored eight consecutive points to take the lead for good. A three-pointer by Carmen Tyson-Thomas cut Arizona's lead to four, but that was close as Syracuse could get.
Senior Iasia Hemingway scored a game-high 22 points to go along with 11 rebounds, while junior Kayla Alexander added 13 points and 11 points. In addition, sophomore Rachel Coffey recorded a career-high 15 points.
SCOUTING THE COUGARS
Brigham Young owns a 6-2 mark heading into Saturday's game. After losing two of their first three games of the year, the Cougars have won five straight.
Kim Parker and Lexi Eaton lead BYU in scoring, averaging 12.6 and 9.9 points per game, respectively. Kristen Riley is BYU's leading rebounder, averaging 6.6 per game.
Jeff Judkins is in his 11th season at BYU. He has an all-time record of 212-210.
