SYRACUSE, N.Y. - No. 22 Syracuse women's basketball is the No. 7 seed in the Oklahoma City Region and will play 10th-seeded Creighton in the first round of the NCAA Tournament on Saturday, March 23 at 11:20 a.m. in Knoxville, Tenn. The game will be televised on ESPN2. With its best record in program history, the Orange has received its first NCAA Tournament berth since 2008 and fifth all-time.
This will be the first-ever meeting between the Orange and Blue Jays. The winner will face the winner of Tennesse and Oral Roberts on Monday, March 25.

TICKET INFORMATION
Orange Club members will have the first opportunity to purchase tickets. Ticket sales will be conducted online at suathletics.com (click on TICKETS), beginning at 10:00 pm Monday, March 18 and will continue Tuesday from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm online and in person at the Carrier Dome Box Office. If any tickets from the allotment remain, they will go on sale to the general public on Wednesday, March 14, at Noon.
SEASON TO REMEMBER CONTINUES
Under seventh-year head coach Quentin Hillsman, Syracuse is 24-7 overall, its best record ever through 31 games and its fourth-highest win total in program history. Its 11-5 record in BIG EAST play and No. 3 seed in the BIG EAST Tournament were both 25-year highs. The Orange has been ranked for six-straight weeks in the Associated Press Top 25 Poll and for nine-straight weeks in the USA TODAY Coaches Poll, reaching all-time highs of No. 21 and No. 18, respectively, in each poll on the week of Feb. 18.
This will be SU's second NCAA appearance under Hillsman. The Orange was a No. 7 seed in 2008, losing to Hartford in the first round in Baton Rouge, La., 59-55.
