
Orange Returns Home to Host Towson Sunday

SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- No. 2/3 Syracuse puts its five-game winning streak on the line Sunday, March 2 when it hosts No. 15/14 Towson. Opening draw is set for 1 p.m. in the Carrier Dome. Both teams are undefeated this season as the Orange has won its first five games of the campaign, while the Tigers are 2-0.
The game will be broadcast on WJPZ 89.1FM in the Syracuse area. Live audio and video will also be available via CuseTV on Cuse.com. Subscriptions to CuseTV are available at daily, monthly and yearly rates.
Individual game tickets can be purchased for $5. Fans can purchase a "Lax Pack" ticket package for $25, which includes 10 general admission tickets that can be used as a season ticket or as a group ticket package.
GAME-DAY EXPERIENCE
Fans at Sunday's game will enjoy a new enhanced game-day experience, which will include contests and giveaways. Patrons should pick up a game-day program, which includes a coupon for free yogurt from Yogurtland as well as a number that puts them in contention for a lucky number prize package drawing. Programs will be available free of charge at gates A and B. Syracuse students will receive a coupon for a free slice of pizza from the Varsity.
Additional prize packages will be given away to contest winners. Prizes will include items from Syracuse women's lacrosse sponsors, including Nike, STX, Sedgwick Office Interiors, Summitt Cars, Mulrooney's, Panera Bread, Empower Federal Credit Union, Yogurtland and Varsity Pizza.

What to Watch For - Syracuse (5-0)
1. Syracuse's high-powered offense has scored more than 10 goals in all five games this season and currently ranks fourth in the nation in scoring.
2. Sophomore Kayla Treanor (Niskayuna, N.Y.) is this week's ACC Co-Offensive Player of the Week after leading the Orange to its first-ever ACC win at Virginia. Treanor recorded a team-high seven points (5g, 2a) in SU's 18-14 victory against the Cavaliers.
3. Sunday's game begins a stretch of seven consecutive home games for the Orange. Four of the seven games will be against teams ranked in this week's top 10.
What To Watch For—Towson (2-0)
1. Towson enters Sunday's game with a 2-0 record. The Tigers opened the season with an 11-6 win against UMBC before defeating No. 10 Georgetown, 14-10.
2. Redshirt Junior Andi Raymond leads the team with 12 points (8g, 4a). She has scored four goals apiece in each game. Goalkeeper Kelsea Donnelly ranks eighth in the nation with 11 saves per game.
3. Sonia LaMonica is in her fourth season at the helm of the Towson program. The three-time Colonial Athletic Association Coach of the Year is a 2003 graduate of Maryland where she played on two national championship teams.
THE SERIES
Syracuse leads the series with Towson, 9-0. The last time the two teams meet was on March 9, 2013 where the Orange shutout the Tigers in the second half on its way to a 10-3 victory at Towson.
