Women's Hoops Hosts Military/Staff Appreciation Day on Nov. 11

Syracuse opens the season against Rhode Island
SYRACUSE, N.Y. – The Syracuse women's basketball team will open the 2016-17 season on Friday, Nov. 11 when it hosts Rhode Island at 3 p.m. in the Carrier Dome. Syracuse will hold its Military/Staff Appreciation Day on Friday afternoon.
Military can purchase a $5 ticket to the Orange's contest against the Rams. $10 tickets for the men's basketball team's game against in-state foe Colgate are available for military, as well. The men's basketball contest will tipoff at 7 p.m.
At halftime, Syracuse University student Andrew Mauch will perform a jump rope routine. Mauch has previously competed at the World Jump Rope Championship with the Chapel Hill, N.C.-based Bouncing Bulldogs.
American flag keychains will be given away at the Carrier Dome, as well.
