Syracuse takes on Stony Brook on Friday night
SYRACUSE, N.Y. – The Syracuse women's basketball team is ranked No. 14 nationally in the latest Associated Press and USA Today Coaches Polls.
Syracuse has matched its highest ranking the AP Poll in program history. The Orange were ranked No. 14 in the country in the final three ranking releases of the 2015-16 season and first poll of the 2016-17 campaign.
The team opened up the year with victories against Rhode Island (Nov. 11) and Siena (Nov. 14. For the first time in school history, Syracuse opened up the season with consecutive 90-point outings. The Orange defeated Rhode Island, 95-49, in their season opener, before a 102-65 win against Siena.
Syracuse is back in action on Friday night on the road at Stony Brook. Tipoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. at IFCU Arena in Stony Brook, N.Y.
