SPARKS, Md. -- No. 7/8 Syracuse will play five straight games on the road, starting Friday, March 16 when the Orange take on Harvard. The game will be played at Tierney Field at the U.S. Lacrosse Headquarters in Sparks, Md. at 2 p.m.

ORANGE MOVE UP IN COACHES POLL
Syracuse moved up one spot to No. 7 in this week's IWLCA poll and remained at No. 8 in the Cascade media rankings.

DEFLIESE DOING IT ALL
Sophomore Kerry Defliese has been a force on Syracuse's defense all season. In the last three games, she has added part-time draw control responsibilities to her resume. Defliese recorded a career-high five draw controls against Maryland and now ranks third on the team with 13 this season. In addition, she is tied for the top spot on the squad in caused turnovers (8) and is tied for fourth in ground balls (8).

HAWRYSCHUK AMONG NATIONAL LEADERS
Sophomore Emily Hawryschuk ranks fifth in the nation in shooting percentage (.720) in the latest NCAA Division I statistics. She has 18 goals on 25 shots this season. Hawryschuk leads the team in points (19) and goals (18). The Victor, N.Y. native has recorded multiple goals in five of six contests in 2018.

SCOUTING HARVARD
Harvard defeated Bryant, 19-18, last Saturday to improve its record to 3-2.

The Crimson have two players that have more than 20 goals through five games this season. Both Julia Glynn and Keeley MacAfee have 21 goals apiece. Glynn also has 11 assists for a team-high 32 points. Olivia Gundrum has started all five games in goal for Harvard. She has a 15.11 goals-against average and a .412 save percentage.

Syracuse fans will again see a familiar face on the opposing sideline when the Orange take on Harvard. Crimson head coach Lisa Miller served as the first head coach in Syracuse program history. She accrued a record of 106-53 from 1998-2007.

THE SERIES
Syracuse and Harvard will meet for the ninth time on Friday. The Orange have won the previous eight meetings.
