SYRACUSE, N.Y. – No. 4/3 Syracuse puts its four-game winning streak on the line when it faces Albany on Wednesday, March 27 in the Carrier Dome. Opening draw is set for 6 p.m. Admission and parking are free of charge.

The Orange are hosting Chick-Fil-A Youth and Team Day on Wednesday. Teams in attendance will be invited to welcome the Orange to the field. To participate, contact David Mather in the Syracuse Athletics marketing department. Syracuse will also be celebrating National Cerebral Palsy Awareness Month in honor of its Team IMPACT teammate, Maddy Hertweck.

ORANGE UPDATE
Syracuse improved its record to 10-2 overall, including 3-1 in the ACC with a 10-9 comeback win against Notre Dame on Sunday. The Orange trailed for the first time all season at the half, but were able to go on a 4-0 scoring run to end the game to post the one-goal victory. Syracuse's defense held Notre Dame to only one goal in the second half.

Leading the Orange offense was junior Emily Hawryschuk. She had four goals and five points. Two of her goals were in the last five minutes to tie the game and then to give Syracuse the lead for good. Sophomore Sam Swart scored two goals and was able to kickstart the Orange's 4-0 scoring run. Junior goalkeeper Asa Goldstock made 11 saves, including the 400th of her career. Goldstock also contributed to the offense with an assist. Â

With the comeback win against the Fighting Irish, the Orange moved up one spot to No. 3 in the Inside Lacrosse media poll. Syracuse remains at No. 4 in the IWLCA media poll.

SCOUTING THE GREAT DANES
Albany improved its record to 5-4 with a 16-10 victory against UMass-Lowell on Saturday. The Great Danes are 1-3 on the road this season and are 0-3 against ranked opponents.

Sam Tortora leads the Albany offense with 39 points. Her 25 assists also rank first on the squad. The Great Danes have three players with 20 or more goals on the season, including Kyla Zapoliski (25 g), Kendra Harbinger (23 g), and Hailey Carroll (20 g). In goal for the Great Danes is Georgia Schneidereith. Schneidereith has a save percentage of .426 and a goals against average of 12.41.

Katie Rowan is in her first year at the helm of the Albany program after spending three years as the head coach at Wagner. Rowan graduated from Syracuse in 2009 and finished her career as one of the most decorated players in school history. The 2009 Tewaaraton and Honda Award finalist is Syracuse's all-time leader in points (396) and assists (164). She returned to the Orange as an assistant coach for three seasons.

THE SERIES
Syracuse leads the all-time series against Albany, 11-0. The two teams met last season in the Carrier Dome where the Orange won 19-12 for their eighth win against the Great Danes on their home field. Emily Hawryschuk led Syracuse with four goals and five points.

The Orange head to Durham, N.C. to face No. 12/13 Duke. The game is scheduled for Saturday, March 30 at 12 p.m.
