
Kiara Lewis Earns All-ACC First Team Honors

SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Kiara Lewis has had a breakout season with the Syracuse women's basketball team and was named an All-Atlantic Coast Conference First Team honoree on Monday afternoon. Lewis was recognized by both the Blue Ribbon Panel and the 15 ACC head coaches. She joins teammate Tiana Mangakahia and alumnae Brittney Sykes and Alexis Peterson as the fourth player to earn All-ACC First Team accolades in school history. It marks the fifth-straight year the Orange have had at least one All-ACC First Team selection.
Lewis leads the Orange in points per game (17.6) and assists (144). Her 1,091 minutes played ranks 8th in the country and leads the ACC. Lewis is fourth in the ACC in assists, assists per game (5.0) and free throws made (141). Lewis's 428 field goal attempts and 518 points on the season both rank third in the ACC.
The Chicago native has been named College Sports Madness National Player of the Week twice this season, each time following a top-10 win for the Orange (No. 5 Louisville and No. 8 Florida State).
The No. 8 Orange head to Greensboro, N.C. to play No. 9 Virginia in the ACC Tournament. Tip-off is Thursday, March 5 at 2:00 p.m. The winner of the Syracuse-Virginia game will advance to play No. 1-seed Louisville on Friday, March 6 at 2:00 p.m.
