Meet the Orange: #1 Kennedi Perkins
11/3/2022 12:20:00 PM | Women's Basketball
Freshman Kennedi Perkins discusses her journey to her dream school, playing for Coach Jack at Syracuse and her love for music in this episode of Meet the Orange.
Perkins led Bolingbrook High School in scoring all four years of her career averaging 15.4 points, 5.2 rebounds, 2.6 assists and 2.5 steals per game. She was named an All-Area First Team selection and IHSA All-Conference honoree in 2019. Perkins had Syracuse University on her radar as her dream school but it wasn't until an official visit over this past summer that attending Syracuse and playing basketball became a reality for the 2022 Associated Press Illinois Girls Basketball All-State Honorable Mention selection.Â
Perkins, a 5-foot-6 guard, loves music and has become quite the collector of vinyl records. She shows off her record collection, discusses her musical background and talks about what inspired her to start playing basketball.Â
The Meet the Orange miniseries is aimed to introduce fans to the new faces of @CuseWBBÂ and build excitement for Coach Jack's first season leading her alma mater.Â
