Felisha Legette-Jack One of 15 on Naismith National Coach of the Year Watch List

In just her second year as head coach at her alma mater, Felisha Legette-Jack has guided the Orange to the national spotlight. On Wednesday, she was tabbed as one of 15 Division I head coaches on the 2024 Werner Ladder Naismith Women's College Coach of the Year Late Season Watch List presented by AXIA Time.
'Cuse is 22-4 overall and 12-3 in the nation's top conference, the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC), with three regular season games remaining. The Orange have already surpassed last seasons win total by two games and is four games better than Legette-Jack's inaugural squad in the regular seasons.
The Orange are ranked 17th this week in both the Associated Press (AP) Top-25 and the USA Today/WBCA Coaches Poll. Syracuse is 4-0 against top-15 opponents and is 13-1 at the JMA Wireless Dome this season.Â
Syracuse, picked to finish ninth in the ACC, sits second in the league standings one game behind Virginia Tech with two weeks remaining in the regular season. If the Orange hold steady and finish second in the league, it will be the largest jump from ACC Preseason Poll to final standings in league history.Â
The Orange are projected as a top-16 seed in ESPN's Charlie Creme's latest Bracketology (Feb. 20). Syracuse is in the conversation as a potential host for the NCAA Tournament First and Second Rounds in a few weeks. It would be the third time in program history the Orange earned a top-16 seed and first since the 2018-19 season.Â
Fans don't want to miss their final two regular season chances to see Legette-Jack's team in action. Syracuse hosts Duke at 7 p.m. on Thursday and welcomes Pittsburgh to the JMA Wireless Dome on Sunday for Senior Day at 2 p.m.Â
Tickets are on sale now and can be purchased online by visiting cuse.com/tickets or calling the Dome Box Office at 888-DOME-TIX.Â
