SYRACUSE, NEW YORK -- No. 5 Syracuse puts its five-game winning streak on the line when it hosts Louisville on Saturday, March 30 in the JMA Wireless Dome at noon. The Orange will celebrate Senior Day and honor members of the class in a pregame ceremony.

ORANGE UPDATE
Syracuse improved to 8-3 overall with a 16-13 victory against No. 7 Loyola on Wednesday in the JMA Dome. Emma Tyrrell scored six goals for the Orange, while Emma Ward posted six points on four goals and two assists.

The win was Syracuse's fourth against a top-10 opponent in six tries. The Orange's strength of schedule ranks first in the nation as eight of this week's top 25, including six of the top 10, as well as three teams receiving votes are on Syracuse's 2024 schedule.

The Orange are in first place in the ACC standing with a 5-0 league record.

CHASING THE RECORD
Grad student Kate Mashewske needs 16 draw controls to become Syracuse's all-time leader in that category. She enters Saturday's game with 424 career draw controls, which trails only Kailah Kempney, who posted 439 from 2012-15. Mashewske became the second player in program history to record 400 draw controls in her career in Syracuse's win against UAlbany.

SCOUTING THE CARDINALS
Louisville is coming off a 15-7 victory against Xavier on Wednesday. The Cardinals have won three of their last four to improve their record to 6-6 overall, 2-3 in ACC play.

Kokoro Nakazawa and Nicole Perroni lead the Louisville offense. Nakazawa leads the team in points (57), goals (38) and assists (19). Perroni has 32 goals on the season and leads the squad in draw controls (57), ground balls (30) and caused turnovers (31).

Goalkeeper Sara Addeche has a .420 save percentage and a 13.60 goals-against average.

THE SERIES
Syracuse and Louisville will meet for the 14th time. The Orange lead the all-time series, 13-1. The Cardinals lone win came in Louisville in 2017.

The squads met last season on the Cardinals' home field. Syracuse never trailed in the game, scoring the first goal of the day 50 seconds into the action. Emma Tyrrell scored three goals during the Orange's 6-0 scoring run to start the game. Syracuse led, 12-2, at halftime and went on to the 17-5 victory.
