The -/rv Syracuse University women's basketball team (18-7, 6-6) carriers its two-game winning streak to Queens, N.Y. for a key BIG EAST battle with rv/22 St. John's (18-7, 7-5) on Saturday, February 19 at 3 p.m. in Carnesecca Arena (6,008).
The Orange is riding high after defeating Villanova and -/rv Louisville in its last two outings. Syracuse's defense dominated, limiting 'Nova and UofL to 47.0 points on 31.8 percent (34-107) shooting. The Red Storm has won six of its last eight games, including an 80-60 victory at South Florida on Wednesday.
Syracuse has played St. John's more than any other BIG EAST foe, facing the Red Storm 52 times coming into this season.

Senior guard Erica Morrow scored 17 points to lead Syracuse to a 53-45 victory against Louisville on Wednesday night at the Carrier Dome. The Orange held a 51-33 advantage on the boards, marking the 23rd time in 25 games that it has outrebounded the opposition.
Morrow was 5-of-10 from the floor and 3-of-5 from behind the arc while adding six rebounds and a pair of assists. Sophomore center Kayla Alexander was second with 12 points, six rebounds and four blocks while junior guard Iasia Hemingway just missed a double-double with nine points and nine rebounds.
Sophomore guard Carmen Tyson-Thomas helped the Orange to a 21-7 advantage in second-chance points with eight rebounds and six points while redshirt freshman Shakeya Leary added five rebounds.
Scouting St. John's
rv/22 St. John's (18-7, 7-5 BIG EAST) has won six of its last eight games, including an 80-60 victory at South Florida on Wednesday.
Shenneika Smith leads two players in double figures averaging 13.6 points per game while Da'Shena Stevens is second scoring at a 12.0 point per game clip and grabbing a team-high 6.8 rebounds per game.
Ninth-year St. John's head coach Kim Barnes Arico is 148-120 (.552) at St. John's. She is 242-192 (.558) overall as a head coach.
STJ is 9-2 at home this season, including a 9-1 mark at Carnesecca Arena. The Red Storm has now won three consecutive at Carnesecca. Since the beginning of the 2009-10 season, the Red Storm is 22-3 at home.
