Orange Returns Home to Face Cornell

SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- After playing three straight games on the road, No. 6/5 Syracusehosts Cornell on Tuesday, March 17 in its only home game this month. Opening draw is set for 6 p.m. in the Carrier Dome.

The game will be broadcast on Time Warner Cable Sports Channel and ESPN3. In addition, fans can listen to the broadcast on WJPZ 89.1FM in the Syracuse area.

What to Watch For – Syracuse (7-2)
1. Five of Syracuse's last six games have been decided by one goal. The Orange has a 4-1 record in the five games. Last season, Syracuse did have any one-goal games.
2. Syracuse continues to dominate in the draw circle. The Orange now ranks second in the nation in draw controls per game (16.89). Individually, senior Kailah Kempney is third in the country, averaging 9.22 per contest.
3. Senior Halle Majorana continues to lead the Orange in scoring with 35 points. Her 14 assists also rank first on the team, while her 21 goals are second.

What to Watch For – Cornell (5-1)
1. Cornell extended its winning streak to three games with an 18-12 victory against Ivy League foe Columbia last Saturday. The win improved the Big Red's record to 5-1.
2. Sophomore Amie Dickson leads Cornell in points (27) and is tied for the top spot in goals (16) and assists (11). In addition, Dickson has won a team-best 22 draw controls. Renee Poullott has started all six games in goal for the Big Red. She has a 7.63 goals-against average and a .419 save percentage.
3. Jenny Graap is in her 18th year at the helm of the Cornell program. She has guided the Big Red to a record of 162-109 and three NCAA Tournaments.

Syracuse leads the all-time series with Cornell, 13-5. The Orange has won the last eight meetings between the two teams.
