2001 BIG EAST silver medalist in the 200 breaststroke...school record holder in the 200 breaststroke (2:16.33)...will be looking to better her national-consideration time in order to qualify for the NCAA Championships.
Freshman Year: Voted the team's Rookie of the Year...attacked the school record books in just the third dual-meet of her college career, winning the 200 breaststroke in a Webster Pool-record time of 2:18.78...at the time her pace in that race broke a three-year old school record...a month later she beat her own standard at the Nike Cup, swimming the 200 breaststroke in a time of 2:16.33 to finish third...it ranked as one of the fastest times in the country for most of the season...it ended up being the second-fastest time in the BIG EAST...earned a silver medal in the 200 breaststroke at the BIG EAST Championships, second only to Villanova's Maddy Crippen, a U.S. Olympian...teamed up with Daney, McDonough and Thoet to set a school record in the 200 medley relay at the conference meet (1:46.61)...posted the sixth-fastest time for the entire season in the BIG EAST in the 100 breaststroke (1:04.15)...placed fifth in that event at the conference meet...named to the Athletic Director's Honor Roll in the fall.
High School: Competed in the U.S. Olympic Trials the summer prior to her freshman year at SU...earned varsity letters in swimming and soccer at Cathedral High School..coached by Vin Walsh in swimming...holds all school records except in the 50, 100, 200 and 500 freestyles...was the 2000 state champion in the 100-yard breaststroke (1:04.83) and the 100-yard butterfly (58.93)...1999 state champion in the 200-yard IM (2:07.63)...was the Junior National Champion in the 200-yard breaststroke in 1999 with a time of 2:18.34...qualified for the 2000 U.S. Olympic Trials with a time of 2:36.43 in the 200-meter breaststroke...her team won the Massachusetts state soccer championship her junior year...named All-Western Massachusetts four times...a three-time All-State honoree...a scholastic All-American in 1998 and 1999...team MVP all four years...named the Western Massachusetts Most Valuable Swimmer in 2000...member of the National Honor Society and community council.
Personal: Born March 24, 1982...daughter of Peggy Tudryn...two brothers, one sister...assistant coach Ellie Walker swam with Tudryn's aunts in Northampton, MA as a youth...enrolled in the College of Arts and Sciences.
