Coming off a solid freshman campaign...described by her coaches as a tremendous competitor who will be a big factor in the team's success this season.

Freshman Year: Consistent throughout the dual-meet season...scored points for the Orangewomen at the BIG EAST Championships...was 11th in the 200 backstroke and 12th in the 100 backstroke...swam the 100 backstroke in a season-best time of 58.33 in the BIG EAST prelims...her fastest time in the 200 backstroke was 2:04.57 which she achieved at the Nike Cup...it ranked as the 10th-fastest time among BIG EAST swimmers for the season...a member of SU's 200 medley relay team that set a school record at the BIG EAST Championships (1:46.61)...posted the sixth-fastest time in the BIG EAST in the 50 backstroke (27.52) at the conference meet...named a BIG EAST Academic All-Star...selected to the Athletic Director's Honor Roll both semesters.

High School: Coached by Michele Grace and Scott Leventhal at Council Rock High School...played softball her freshman year...team won the PIAA state championship her senior year..she placed third in the 100 backstroke...won four district titles, two in the 100 freestyle and two in the 200 IM...earned four state medals...member of the NRG Swimming Club from 1997-2000...honored as All-S.O.L, All-District I and All-State from 1997-2000...selected the Most Valuable Swimmer on her team...member of the National Honor Society, student council and the AIDS Awareness Club.

Personal: Born January 17, 1982...daughter of Mike and Nancy Daney...two brothers...majoring in psychology.
