This Year: Is expected to continue to grow after an impressive rookie season that began with her walking on the team in August to qualifying for the BIG EAST Championship in February.
2001-02: Competed in the 100 backstroke at the BIG EAST Championship and posted a personal-best time of 1:00.15...was second in the 200 backstroke with a season-best time of 2:11.60 against Seton Hall.
High School: Competed for Manalapan High School and the YMCA of Western Monmouth County (YWMC)...placed 11th in the 100 backstroke (1:01.37) at the 2001 NJSIAA championships...finished second in the 100 backstroke at the Shore Conference Championship her senior year...served as team captain...named MVP of the YWMC team for 2000-01.
Personal: Born Sept. 2, 1983...daughter of Brian Gibney...enrolled in the College of Arts and Sciences...both parents attended Syracuse University.
