High School: Four-year varsity letterwinner in swimming at West Chester East High School...coached by Danny Reichert...her best event was the 200 freestyle where she set a school record of 1:54.94...finished ninth in the 200 freestyle and 10th in the 100 backstroke at the state championship her senior year...as a senior, placed fifth in the 200 backstroke at the YMCA nationals...set an Upper Main Line YMCA record in the 200 backstroke (2:04.33) as a senior...served as team captain her junior and senior years...named the Daily Local News Swimmer of the Year as a junior and senior...earned all-state honors her last two years and All-America honors as a senior...won her team's Sue Clayton Award...member of the National Honor Society.
Personal: Born Dec. 18, 1982...daughter of Dave and Becky Reed...one brother...majoring in accounting.
